Geological setting and lithological inventory of the Czarna Woda conglomerates (Magura Nappe, Polish Outer Carpathians)

During the late Oligocene to early Miocene residual Magura Basin was located along front of Pieniny Klippen Belt (PKB). This basin supplied with clastic material derived from a south-eastern direction. In Male (Little) Mts. in Poland, Oligocene/ Kremna Fm. Nappe (Krynica subunit) occurs both PKB as well tectonic windows within PKB. Lenses exotic conglomerates contain frequent clasts Mesozoic limestones (e.g. “filaments” microfacies and Urgonian limestones) Eocene shallow-water limestones. Fragments crystalline volcanic rocks occur subordinately. The provenance these could be probably connected exhumation erosion SE part Dacia Tisza Mega-Units.
